Luna, a Golden Retriever smiling beside a couch

Office Companion in Training

Luna

Golden Retriever | Born November 7, 2022

Luna is Willow’s Way’s gentle, goofy, and playful Golden Retriever who has never met a stranger—or a snack she didn’t like! She absolutely loves people, anything edible, and trips to the ocean (although, for reasons known only to Luna, swimming pools are a definite no).

Luna seems to have a special instinct for noticing when someone is upset. When she senses that someone needs a little extra comfort, she naturally stays close by and offers her quiet companionship.

Her best little buddy is Willow, and the two make quite the pair. 🐾

Luna is currently an Office Companion in Training, with plans to pursue appropriate training and evaluation for future animal-assisted work at Willow’s Way Behavioral Health.

Favorite things: People, snacks, the ocean, Willow, and more snacks. 💛

Willow, a miniature dachshund curled up on a blanket

The Heart Behind Willow’s Way

Willow

Miniature Dachshund | Born January 25, 2026

Willow may be tiny, but absolutely no one has told her that.

She is sassy, spunky, affectionate, nosy, stubborn, incredibly fast, and just bossy enough to keep everyone—including Luna, her Golden Retriever best friend who is many times her size—in line. Willow loves toys, blankets, car rides, people food, racing through the house at full speed, jumping from couch to couch, and occasionally tormenting the cats.

Willow’s person is Haley, but when Haley is nearby and busy, Willow is perfectly content to curl up beside Sandra. Once all that dachshund energy finally runs out, she becomes an expert cuddler.

One of Willow’s most distinctive features is her beautiful eyes. One is completely brown, while the other is mostly brown with a small splash of bright blue—just one more thing that makes Willow unmistakably Willow.

But underneath all that personality is an incredibly sweet little dog who seems to have a special way with people.

One of the moments that inspired Willow’s Way happened when a client’s mother met Willow for the first time. Without being prompted, Willow simply laid her little head in the woman’s hand. The woman began to cry.

It was a small moment, but it captured something special about Willow: she seems to know when someone needs a little extra love.

Wherever she goes, people notice her. They stop to ask if they can pet her, smile when they see her, and are naturally drawn to her tiny personality. That gentle connection became part of the inspiration behind the name Willow’s Way Behavioral Health—a reminder that sometimes comfort begins simply by meeting someone where they are and being present with them.

Willow is currently an Office Companion in Training, with plans to pursue appropriate training and evaluation for future animal-assisted work alongside her much larger—and frequently bossed around—best buddy, Luna. 🐾💚

Favorite things: Haley, cuddles, blankets, toys, car rides, running at dachshund speed, people food, keeping Luna in line, and making people smile.

My Philosophy

Compassion, faith, and respect for your path.

I believe counseling should offer a compassionate space where you feel heard, respected, and supported. My Christian faith informs my commitment to kindness, hope, and the worth of every person.

I respect each client’s beliefs and preferences. Faith is included in counseling only when the client wishes. Together, we will work toward goals that matter to you, at a pace that honors your experiences and needs.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Proverbs 3:5–6 · KJV
